Victor’s work is clearly influenced by his homeland (Chile), by his country of adoption (Belgium) and also by aspects of the European artistic tradition. These elements can be identified formally, technically and with regard to content. One can easily enjoy Ramirez’s artworks because of its expressive style that masterfully controls the colors and light. For Ramirez these two essential elements are independent and symbolize both the spiritual affective content of Goethe and the dramatic existential part of Van Gogh.
