Laurenz Coninx paints colorful and black and white portraits as well as larger realistic atmospheric images. The figurative artworks are based on scenes he photographs in daily life. In this way he tries to capture an interesting moment in time and transfers it to canvas. The focus is always on finding the right composition, the contrast between light and dark, as well as playing with color. He always starts with black and white and throughout the process he uses color depending on the moment and his own state of mind.
