Seppe De Roo

Seppe is a graduate in painting from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. His work crystalizes a new aesthetic language with a strong historical framework, combining painting techniques with digital techniques like ray tracing and sculptural work with 3D printing. Settled deep within his approach in making art is a need to analyze an recreate the stories we use to construct our reality and society.

His subjects are fictional based on autobiographic stories showing different persona’s of the artist. His alter ego’s on his paintings all live in a surreal but poetic and dreamy time and space. These paintings are mirroring narratives of the unconscious world. They are the mysteries of the world that we observe.
