Graduated from Sint-Lucas Art Institute in Gen in 1991, Catherine’s recurrent themes include vulnerability, transience, youthfulness and the loss of it.
The sober surfaces of the clothing, pure, minimal and without detail, confront the expressive, distinctive faces. The resulting is simple and almost naïve, but at the same time the paintings have a strong visual and emotional impact.
