Lives and works in Brussels
Bart Van Overberghe creates screenprints and acrylic paint on paper. Inspired by cities and their repetitive architectures, he recreates imaginary archetypes, new forms using simple shapes, with little colors but with a great mastery in their organization. As he states: “an image can be the starting point of a new story”, which opens the door to an urban imaginary, organized but free of access. The viewer gets the idea to discover a new city, deconstructed and endlessly rebuilt.
